Again I went out testing my friend's macro lens, and when I came back, I noticed something a little funning near my front door. On closer inspection, it was a perfectly still spider. I didn't even stop to think what kind it was, I just started taking the picture. A few seconds later I heard my wife spraying bug spray around our house, and I realized she had also seen the same spider. Luckily I started taking the picture before she got to it...

This is of course a black widow, among the more poisonous spiders in the world. They usually aren't a problem unless you were unwise enough to eat one. Notice you can also see strands of it's web in various places.

Oh, I got lots of good macro shots today, even better than yesterday. See http://www.pearsonartphoto.com/gallery/8016363_6qW7u
